•“Patient with CBDS undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy may be managed by laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE) at the time of surgery, or undergo peri-operative ERCP. There is no evidence of a difference in efficacy, morbidity or mortality when these approaches are compared through (LCBDE) is associated with a shorter hospital stay. It is recommended that the two approaches are considered equally valid treatment options”
